Nagaland is a mountainous state in Northeast India. Tribe and clan traditions and loyalties play an important part in the life of the Nagas. Weaving is a traditional art handed down through generations in Nagaland. Each of the tribes has unique designs and colours, reflected in their striking shawls, shoulder bags, decorative spears, table mats, wood carvings, and bamboo works. Among many tribes, the design of the shawl denotes the social status of the wearer. The Chang Shawl of Nagaland is famous in India and abroad. Geometrical forms and solidity of the weave, inspired us to create the CHANG WEAVE inspired wallpapers.
